Collision with fire truck causes death of SUV driver

One man was killed and another injured early Monday when a Kia SUV and a fire truck collided in Hartsville, the S.C. Highway Patrol reports.
Killed in the accident about 12:45 a.m. on Ruby Road near Old Camden Road was Christopher Ryan McManus, 42, of Batesburg-Leesville, said Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee.
The fire truck’s driver was taken to an area hospital; his condition was not known. Hardee said the truck was responding to a fire when the vehicles collided. The patrol says the SUV went left of the center line and hit the fire truck.
