Clark Munn, Sr.

Thurston Clark Munn, Sr, age 55, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018. A memorial service was held in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 4 p.m. The family received friends from 3 until 4 p.m. on Friday at the funeral Home and other times at the home of Tammy and Dean Edwards, 2073 Syracuse Community Road.

Clark was born in Darlington County on March 25, 1963, son of the late Millard “Bill” Lide Munn and Teresa Medlin Munn. He was self-employed as a carpenter who liked fixing things and helping people. He also loved playing soccer and fishing in his younger years, and stuck with fishing as he got older.

He is survived by his son, Clark (Ashlyn) Munn Jr., grandchildren: Lola Bell Munn, William Edward Munn, Greta Elizabeth Massey; a brother, Billy (Wendy) Munn, a sister-in-law Tammy (Dean) Edwards, nieces and nephews: Justin (Susan) Munn, Hunter Munn, Morgan (Brian) Mull and Rayne Munn.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Thomas Munn, and recently his step-son, Nick Player.

Hattie Samuel

Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Mae Richardson Samuel of Darlington were held 12:00 o’clock noon Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

Interment followed in Round O Cemetery directed by Jordan Funeral Home, Inc.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mary S. Jordan and Shirley A. Sims both of Darlington; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters.

The family received friends at the residence of her daughter, Shirley Sims, 313 West Hampton Street, Darlington.

Christine Brown

Funeral services for Ms. Christine Brown of Newark, New Jersey, formerly of Timmonsville, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery directed by Jordan Funeral Home, Inc.

The family is receiving friends at the residence of her niece, Frosteen Brown, 1668 Darlington Street, Timmonsville.
