Trinity-Byrnes hires new volleyball coach

Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School has hired Celina Epps as its new varsity girls volleyball coach.
“I am very excited to announce Celina Epps as our varsity girls volleyball coach. Celina will bring a tremendous amount of energy, passion and knowledge to our program. Her caring and compassion for both the game and her players will undoubtedly have a tremendous impact upon our institution,” says coach Jared Amell, athletic director at Trinity-Byrnes.
A native of Darlington, Epps currently teaches 4th grade at St. John’s Elementary in Darlington and spent four years as the JV and Varsity girls volleyball coach at Darlington High School.
She is a member of the South Carolina Coaches Association.
Epps graduated from Western Governors University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Epps said, “I am excited for this opportunity and look forward to taking Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School to the next level in volleyball.”
Epps has been married for 22 years to Clark Epps of Darlington and has two children.
