Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School’s Debate Team wins

The Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School Debate Team recently traveled to the Eagle Invitational Debate Tournament at Eastside High School in Taylors. Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School debaters won three awards in Open Public Forum Debate, meaning half of the six available podium positions in that category went to TBCS. This made Trinity the most-represented school on the podium. Of those positions, Dylan Odin and Grace Cleveland placed 2nd, Hampton Epps and Lacey Stephens placed 3rd, and Lyndie Reining and Cooper Poston placed 6th. This was Trinity-Byrnes’ first competition as a member school of the National Speech and Debate Association. The tournament featured both public and private schools from South Carolina and North Carolina.
