TBCS quiz bowl team sweeps competition at regionals

The Trinity-Byrnes Middle School Quiz Bowl Team swept the competition at their regional tournament recently.

The team, which hosted the tournament, defeated other quiz bowlers from Marlboro Academy, All Saints’ Episcopal Day School, and Montessori School of Florence.

TBCS scored a total of 550 points across three matches.

The TBCS team consisted of Captain Jay Riddle (7th grader), Caden Crawley (7th grader), Chris Hillman (7th grader), Shahid Nawaz (7th grader), Alden Okoh-Aduako (7th grader) and Jason Iseman (8th grader).

Their coach is Josiane Vero, and student-coaches Grace Cleveland and Ruth Player, both Juniors at TBCS.

Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School is a coeducational, non-discriminatory, college-preparatory day school serving students in grades seven through 12 located in Darlington.
