St. John’s Elementary’s 200th birthday

St. John’s Elementary School celebrated its bicentennial with a week of fun activities where students and staff displayed their school pride. The week culminated with two big events: the Taste of St. John’s on Nov. 15, where parents and teachers served up their best entrees and sweets, and the Bicentennial Parade, where students joined the Darlington High School Marching Falcons to promenade around the historic Academy Green. Other activities included a concert by the St. John’s Singers and the opening of a time capsule, and guest readers from the community visited classrooms to share their favorite children’s stories.
