Special Called Meeting of Darlington County Library Board of Trustees to be held

The Darlington County Library Board of Trustees will have a Special Called Meeting on Wednesday, June 6th at 5 p.m. at the Hartsville Branch.

The only item on the agenda is the Library’s Imagine the Possibilities strategic plan “FOCUS GROUP – Insights from Customers/Community Leaders/Board of Trustees.”  The meeting is an interactive and open dialogue about how the library system can offer maximum value and address the most important areas of need for all of our patrons.

The Library has launched an online Darlington County Library Community Survey.  The primary goal of the survey is to hear from our patrons and community leaders about the future direction of our libraries in Darlington, Hartsville, Lamar, and Society Hill.  It will provide in valuable feedback regarding the Darlington County Library System!  As a customer and community member, you are a key stakeholder in our strategic planning process.  The survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.  All responses are 100% anonymous and will be aggregated into a summary once the survey closes on June 18.

If you have any questions about this survey, please email Dr. Andy Burkemper aburkemper@coker.edu.

Dr. Andy Burkemper of Coker College will help facilitate a community-centered focus group to obtain creative ideas and future direction from decision makers.  The feedback will be invaluable as we interact with multiple stakeholders to shape our strategic plan for the next three-plus years. If you have any questions, contact me Jimmie Epling at 843-398-4940 or jimmie.epling@darlington-lib.org.
