Sheriff’s Deputies complete Criminal Justice Academy

Columbia, SC – Darlington County Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Wongrey successfully completed twelve weeks
of Basic Law Enforcement training at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in Columbia.

Deputy Wongrey is a native of Sumter and previously served two years at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center.

Sheriff’s Deputy Mitchell Martin completed six weeks of training at the Criminal Justice Academy.

Deputy Martin is a native of Ohio. He previously served four years in the United States Marine Corps and four years in law enforcement in Ohio.

Deputies Wongrey and Martin are assigned to the Patrol Division under the command of Lt. Michael Hall.
