Screen on the Green returns for 2018 season

Screen on the Green will launch May 26 with a showing of Top Gun in Burry Park, 131 Cargill Way.

Top Gun is the story of students at the United States Navy’s elite fighter weapons school. As they compete to be best in the class, one daring young pilot learns a few things from a civilian instructor that are not taught in the classroom. The film is rated PG for thematic intensity and mild sexuality and peril.

The showing begins at dusk, 8:52 p.m. or later. Moviegoers are welcome to bring chairs and blankets. In the event of rain, the showing will relocate to the Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center at Byerly Park, found at 701 W Washington St in Hartsville.
“Community events, such as Screen on the Green, provide opportunities for Hartsville families and friends to come together and enjoy the amenities and perks of our city,” says Danny Johnson, Jr., Vice President of North Industrial Machine, “Our company is proud to be involved and located in a city that strives to be progressive and community-centered.”

June 9 – Moana
