Scott has been named the 2018 Mortgage Banking Foreclosure Law “Lawyer of the Year” in South Carolina by BEST LAWYERS in AMERICA®, and the firm’s President and Managing Attorney, Reginald “Reggie” P. Corley, has been included in the 2018 listing of The Best Lawyers in America® in the field of Mortgage Banking Foreclosure Law. BEST LAWYERS® is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication focused on the legal profession.
Designation of “Lawyer of the Year” is strictly awarded to individual attorneys with the highest overall peer-feedback for a specific practice area and geographic region.
Only one attorney is recognized as the “Lawyer of the Year” for each practice area and location. In addition, Ron Scott was selected earlier this year for the Lifetime Achievement Award for South Carolina by AMERICA’s Top 100 ATTORNEYS® in the practice area of Creditor-Debtor Rights, and he was recently selected as one of the 2017 SUPER LAWYERS® for the state. No more than five percent of South Carolina’s attorneys are named to the South Carolina Super Lawyers list each year.
Reggie Corley’s selection to the 2018 listing of The Best Lawyers in America® represents his first selection to the annual list. The list is based on an exhaustive peer- review survey conducted by BEST LAWYERS® where leading lawyers evaluate and vote anonymously on their professional peers. Additionally, Mr. Corley was selected this year as a Lawyer of Distinction, placing him in the top 10% of lawyers in the country in his respective field. He is also a Riley Diversity Leadership Fellow with the nationally-known diversity leadership program at Furman University.
