Registration now open for the Orlando Hudson’s Elite Skills Camp

Registration is now open for the Orlando Hudson’s Elite Skills Camp, hosted by City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation, for youth baseball players ages 9 to 17. The camp will be at Byerly Park Recreation Complex’s baseball fields Aug. 7 to Aug. 11 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Orlando Hudson, retired 11-year MLB Second Baseman, Gold Glover, and MLB All-Star with other professional athletes and college coaches will train and guide participants through proper batting, fielding, and pitching techniques. Each participant will receive an individualized performance critique during camp and a chance to win competitions and awards. Registration includes a jersey, hat, and lunch daily.

“The Elite Sports Camp will allow youth baseball players to learn the proper way to play between the lines,” said Orlando Hudson. “We want the kids to leave the camp better than they came.”

Registration is available online at hartsvillesc.gov or in person at the Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center, 701 W. Washington St. from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost of the camp is $200 for early bird registrants until July 2, $225 from July 3 to August 6, and $250 on the day of camp.
