Officers participate in Operation Lunch and Fun

Officers with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office cook for the community last week at Spaulding Middle School in Lamar. The DCSO has been cooking free hot dogs and hamburgers for local communities throughout the summer in a program called Operation Lunch and Fun. They cook from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., which is also when free summer meals are served around the county. They’ll be at Thornwell Elementary in Hartsville July 24 and Darlington High School July 31.
