William H. Rippy

William H. Rippy, 70, of Darlington, SC passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018.

Mr. Rippy was born in Durham, NC a son of the late Carl H. Rippy and Mary Farrell Rippy. He was a US Navy veteran and had worked in quality control.

Surviving are his wife, Ruby Rippy of Darlington; son, Jeff (Ginny) Rippy; daughters, Marilyn Hester, Renee Rippy and Sharon (Donnie) Allen; step-children, Edward (Jeanette) Haire and Michael Haire; seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; brother, Danny (Barbara) Rippy; sisters, Shirley (Roy) Bailey and Sandra Efland.

The family received friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29th, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 30th, at the Florence National Cemetery.

William Spease

Society Hill, South Carolina

William “Bill” C. Spease, of Society Hill former Logger died on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 81 at Oakhaven Nursing Home.
Mr. Spease was born in Chesterfield County. He was the son of the late Clarence and Sue Spease.

Survived by son, Mike Spease and wife, Deloise and Mike’s mother, Peggy O’Neal all of Society Hill; loving companion, Frances Garris of Darlington; her children, Wayne Garris, Emily G. Sanderson, and Sheila G. Howle; grandchildren, Michael Spease and wife, Amy, Deana Gentry and husband, Jeff, Tyler and Holden Calcutt, and Madison Howle; and several great grandchildren.

Predeceased by sons, Mitch, Dean and Gene Spease; sisters, Flo Outen, and Cynthia Bryant; and one brother, Hollis (Son) Spease.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 30 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Kistler Hardee Funeral Home. Burial followed in Society Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 3 until 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 30 at Kistler Hardee Funeral Home of Darlington.
