Bobby and Wanda Marlowe
DARLINGTON- A memorial service for Bobby and Wanda Marlowe was held on Sunday, June 10th at 2 p.m. in Community Free Will Baptist Church, 108 W Clarke Rd Florence.

Bobby was born July 25, 1953 and died on June 1, 2018. He was son of the late Lavern and Doris Marlowe. Bobby was in the automobile sales business and enjoyed working on classic cars and trucks. Wanda was born November 11, 1956 and died on May 24, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Curtis and Lucy Poston Bailey. She was a loving mother and devoted housewife, who also helped her husband at the car lot. They are survived by their children, Bobbie J. Brown, Reginald A. Brown, Michelle A. West and Kenny West, and grandchildren: Johnathan Wayne Privette, Doris Marie Privette, Kenneth Craig West, Bobby Alexander West, Christopher Logan West, four great-grandchildren and many other extended family members.

Peter Windham

LAMAR – Ted “Peter” Windham, age 68, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018. Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Friday, June 8 at Christian Pathway Church. Burial followed in Lamar Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Belk Funeral Home in Lamar.

Born April 4, 1950, Peter is the son of the late Clarence C. Windham and Mattie Marie Watford Windham. He was a lifelong farmer and worked on his family farm. Peter enjoyed gardening, attending his grandchildren’s ballgames, riding in his truck, and visiting his favorite places to go for breakfast and dinner. He attended Christian Pathway Church in Lamar.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Kathy Atkinson Windham; his son, Rodney Ted (Danielle) Windham; his daughter, Jennifer (David) Windham Cribb, all of Lamar; grandchildren, Braxton (Heather) Windham, Brittany Windham, Megan Cribb, David Cribb, Emily Cribb, L.J. Mack, Laylah Mack, Amia Windham, and Amani Windham; great-grandchildren, Blayden Windham and Sadie Bell; brothers, Willie James (Mahala) Windham, John B. Windham, Shot (Linda) Windham, and Carl (Cindy) Windham; sisters, Ruby (Ray) Bailey, Clarice (Benny) Clifton, Mary Alice (Leon) Shoemake, and Mattie (Ray) Poston.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Clarence “Bud” Windham, Harold Windham, Ned Windham; his sisters, Edith Atkinson and Clara Virginia Atkinson.

Donald Thompson, Senior
Donald L. Thomspon, Sr., age 84, departed this life on Friday, June 8, 2018, to be with the Lord and his late wife, Joyce Gandy Thompson. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, as they meant so much to him.

Donald was born April 8, 1934 in Rock Hill, SC son of the late Johnny Lynn Thompson and Esther Louise Lowery Thompson. He retired from Wellman Industries after being a Training Instructor for many years. He was a member of Temple Free Will Baptist Church.

He leaves behind two daughters, Linda F. Thompson and Patricia Weatherby, a son, Donald Jr. and his wife Becky, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.
