Mary Jane Locklair Humphries, 93, of Darlington died on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
Funeral services were held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Kistler Hardee Funeral Home. Burial followed in Darlington Memory Gardens. The family received friends from 10 until 11 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Kistler Hardee Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Olivia Humphries Kirven.
Mrs. Humphries was born in Florence County. She was the daughter of late Willie Walter Locklair and Olivia Floyd Locklair. Mrs. Humphries was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church. She retired from Lazy Boy. Mrs. Humphries enjoyed being outside and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her children, Brenda Humphries Collins (Ernie), Mary Olivia Kirven (the late Robert Kirven), and Heyward Humphries (Vickie King); 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; her sisters, Myrtle McKenzie of Lake City, Elizabeth Floyd of Scranton, and Dorothy Gaymon of Olanta; and her brother, Johnny Locklair of Scranton.
Mrs. Humphries was preceded in death by her husband, William Marvin Humphries; her son, William Marvin “Billy” Humphries, Jr.; her sisters, Ethel Lou Lee, Annie Laura Morris, Bernice Morris, Vera Coker, Opaline Christmas, and Virginia Locklair; and her brother, Tilman Locklair.

LAMAR- Dorothy “Dot” Plummer, age 93, died on Saturday August 11, 2018 . A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14, at Lamar United Methodist Church. A visitation followed in the fellowship hall. A private burial was held prior to the service, directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Born on May 13, 1925, she was the last surviving child of the late Onan Frederick Ott and Earline Lane Ott. Mrs. Dot was a schoolteacher for 32 years, teaching at Robert E. Lee Academy and Lamar High School. She was an avid Lamar High sports fan, and had been attending athletic events there for over 70 years. She also enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flowers, travelling and playing Bingo. She was member of Lamar United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed helping in the church fellowship hall.
She is survived by her son, David “Buddy” Jesse Plummer, Jr. of Lamar, her daughter, JoLane Hall of Blythewood, and her grandchildren; Brockton, Jessica and Pierce Hall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Jesse Plummer, Sr., their infant daughter, and all of Mrs. Plummer’s siblings.
