News and Press seeks fans of NASCAR, DHS football for upcoming stories
Though it doesn’t feel like it now with temperatures in the 80’s and 90’s and heat indices in the low 100 degrees, fall is quickly approaching and, with it, football and the Bojangles’ Southern 500. Just as in years past, we are working to put out our annual football and race tabs, highlighting the impact these have on our community. We want to hear from you!
The successful Throwback Campaign at the Darlington Raceway is focusing this year on the 1980’s. Were you a huge NASCAR fan in the 80’s? Do you have photos of a trip you took to the Raceway in the 80’s? We want to talk to you!
For our football tab, we would like to highlight a Darlington Falcon football fan who has been rooting for the team for a long time. Did you have a child who played for DHS and you have continued to go to games long after they graduated? Does your neighbor deck themselves in black and purple and root, root, root for the home team on crisp fall nights? We want to know!
