Major changes announced for PeeDeeFoodie.com

On Monday, December 15, 2014, Kevin and Melissa Barron announced major changes coming soon to PeeDeeFoodie.com. Effective Jan. 9, 2015, the fifth anniversary of its launch, its format will change to focus exclusively on weekly podcast episodes and monthly, in-depth local restaurant reviews.

Speaking of this change, Kevin Barron, president of Muffuletta Media, LLC, said, “On Jan. 9, 2010, nearly five years ago, we launched PeeDee Foodie.com as the region’s first, locally focused food blog. Since that time, we’ve welcomed over a half million page views and nearly 80,000 downloads of our first-of-it’s-kind ‘Pee Dee Food Show’ podcast. The decision to narrow the scope of articles posted on PeeDeeFoodie.com will allow us to deliver higher quality, regularly published, local content to subscribers, as well as increased returns for our blog and podcast sponsors. We simply can’t wait to get started!”

Along with the updated publishing schedule and focus, PeeDeeFoodie.com will also undergo a revision to its layout and design. Muffuletta Media, LLC, publishers of PeeDeeFoodie.com will update the WordPress Theme to one that is simpler to navigate and automatically responsive to the myriad of devices (phones, tablets, smart TVs, etc.) now used by readers and listeners.
