First Miss Darlington USA and Miss Darlington Teen USA pageants to be held
History will be made in Darlington Saturday, Aug. 17, at Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School’s Sonoco Gymnasium.
The first Miss Darlington USA and Miss Darlington Teen USA pageants will be held starting at 7 p.m.
The pageants are official preliminaries to Miss South Carolina USA, Miss South Carolina Teen USA, Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe.
The winners will be the official representatives of the City of Darlington.
The event will feature emcee and former Miss Darlington 2012 (Miss America Organization) Clarka Wickliffe, Extreme Cheer and Tumble along with a special appearance from current Miss South Carolina USA MaKenzie Davina and Miss South Carolina Teen USA Allie Richardson.
Tickets are $15 for those over 10 years of age and $10 for under 10 years old and are available at the door. Cash will only be accepted.
Competing for Miss Darlington USA are: Madalyn Ard, Mallory Baxley, Savannah Bethea, Christina Epps, Karen Hawkins, Karoline Kitchings, Kyn R. Mills, Emily Smith and Nicole Ware.
Competing for Miss Darlington Teen USA are: Haley Albright, Sullivan Blackwell, Gabby Cosentino, Laurel Edwards, Malory Crosshans, Chandler Jordan, Ashley O’Conner, Ashleigh Smith, Makayla Smith, Abi Stokes, Daisy Villa, Hannah Weatherford and Addison Windham.
