Falcons come up short against Hilton Head

The Darlington Falcons travelled to Hilton Head Friday night and came up short 4 to 1 against the number 2 seeded Seahawks.

The Falcons were led by Bryant Huggins who continued to impress going five innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out 10 batters. His counterpart from Hilton Head gave up one run on three hits and struck out 15 Falcons on his way to the victory. Darlington’s only run was driven in by Cayde Weatherford in the 3rd inning. Senior Melquan Depugh also picked up a hit.

The Falcons will now travel to Myrtle Beach where they will take on the top seeded Seahawks, who were also defeated Friday night in an upset against the 4 seeded Hornets from Aiken.
