Egg Scramble Jamboree 2015

The Egg Scramble Jamboree in Lamar was a great success with events from Thursday April 2 – Saturday April 4. Attendees enjoyed a night parade on Friday, and a rousing Saturday parade with attendees lining the streets. The events on Saturday also featured a car and tractor show, carnival rides, and vendor booths with crafts and novelties. The highlight for many was the large selection of food – including fair favorites such as turkey legs, funnel cakes and fried dough. A special kid zone was set up for little ones, and musical performances were enjoyed on two stages, including live performances by Shaw’s Model and Talent, Sheryl Boyd, gospel performances by Deborah Barnes, Pearls of Faith, and Sonoco Mens Club and more.
A special Taste of Egg Scramble Jamboree was held prior to the event on March 26, and the Spaulding Alumni Association held their annual reunion to coincide with the Egg Scramble Jamboree event.
“We are so fortunate to have a county tradition such as the Lamar Egg Scamble Jamboree continuously thriving each year!” said Jessica Cohen, Darlington County Tourism Director.
