Durant Children’s Center celebrates Easter with annual Bunny Hop

Easter bunnies large and small delighted kids at the annual “Bunny Hop” held last Friday at the Durant Children’s Center satellite location in Hartsville. Children played games, did arts and crafts activities, petted and fed a friendly and fluffy live rabbit, and met the Easter Bunny himself.

“The Bunny Hop is open to the community so people can come and bring their kids, pet bunnies, get their faces painted, take free pictures with the Easter Bunny, and enjoy some food,” said Robin Griggs, forensic interviewer with the Durant Center. “We just do this to bring the community in and have a nice bit of Easter fun.”

The Durant Children’s Center (formally known as the Elizabeth Pettigrew Durant Children’s Center) is a comprehensive program for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of child and adolescent physical and sexual abuse.
