Darlington looks a lot spiffier this week, thanks to the many community volunteers who participated in the “Clean Up Day in Darlington” sponsored by the Kalmia Garden Study Club and the City of Darlington on Saturday, April 11th from 8 a.m. – 12 noon.

Projects included planting at the Public Square, spreading pine straw behind Carolina Bank Plaza and Krukr’s Specialty Shop, trimming in the alley behind Jewel’s Restaurant, painting the signs at the North Main Street and Washington Street city entrances as well as planting and pine straw at those locations,he Darlington Library, Wells Park, and Liberty Lane.
