Darlington city staff wears pink

City of Darlington staff rolled out their rosiest outfits last week, maintaining their annual tradition of coming to work clad in pink to show support for breast cancer patients and their loved ones. A luncheon followed, with pink decor, covered dishes and informational literature to spread the word about detection and treatment. In 2018, an estimated 266,120 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 63,960 new cases of non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer. A man’s lifetime risk of breast cancer is about 1 in 1,000.
