Darlington city employees celebrate Thanksgiving
City of Darlington employees got together to share a delicious buffet lunch and reap some tangible rewards for their hard work during 2017. During the city’s annual holiday banquet, held Wednesday, November 22 at the Harmon Baldwin Gym, Mayor Gloria Hines, Mayor Pro Tem Coleman Cannon, and City Manager Howard Garland teamed up to distribute dozens of prizes and gifts to staffers from all city departments. Items included cash prizes, free pizzas, gift cards, lawn and garden equipment, kitchen and household items, and paid days off. Prizes were donated by the city and by many generous local businesses, and winners were selected through a blind drawing.
