Coker College’s Acrobatics and Tumbling team inks first signee in program history

The Coker College Acrobatics and Tumbling team has added the first recruit in the history of the program as Kaylyn Chilton signed to compete for the Cobras.

The Cordova, Ala., native lettered in cheerleading at Cordova High School and her team finished as state champions along with ending the year fourth in the nation.

In the classroom, Chilton has been named to the honor roll on four occassions, as well as being a member of the National Beta Club and the secretary for the National Honor Society.

“This is an exciting day for all of us here at Coker,” said head coach Britteny Durham.

“This is the first-ever recruit for Acrobatics and Tumbling at Coker College and I am so thankful for Kaylyn for putting her trust in me and the program. Let’s go make history and welcome to the Cobra family!”

Chilton plans to major in mathematics and is the daughter of Chris and Nicole Chilton. She has one brother, Luke.
