New Year’s Eve Sing
Oates Baptist Church, 3569 Oates Highway Lamar, SC will have a New Year’s Eve Sing on Sunday December 31st at 9 p.m. The Pine Ridge Singers from Hartsville, and Southern Redeemed from Florence will bring in the New Year with praise and worship music. Watch Night
Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 552 E. Billy Farrow Hwy in Darlington, will have watch night services on December 31, 2017 beginning at 10:30 p.m.

LIVE@CENTRAL!
Mal Hyman, Professor of Sociology at Coker College, will present an introspective review of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, in light of new information released this past fall. Professor Hyman is known nationally as an expert on this persistent conundrum. Central member Zilphy DuRant will have a set of complete Charlotte Observer newspapers from the week of the assassination on display as part of the presentation. There will be a questions and answer opportunity. The free public program will be held January 3 in Spears Fellowship Hall at Central United Methodist Church on the corner of West Cheves and South Irby streets in downtown Florence beginning at 6:30 p.m. Dinner (optional) will be served at 5:15 p.m. The meal cost is $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children (12 and under). Choir Rehearsal
The Woman’s Pee Dee District Department District Woman’s Choir Winter Summit Choir Rehearsal will be held January 6. Practice will begin at 10 a.m. at the Savannah Grove Baptist Church Music Room, 2620 Alligator Road, Effingham.

Bible Conference
Pastor Andy Cook is coming to Central Baptist Church, and he’s bringing Israel with him. An experienced Israel tour leader and author of multiple books, Cook will take us on a virtual tour of many biblical sites during a four-day Bible conference. The Upper Room Holy Ghost Mission

The Lord Cares
Please continue to assist The Lord Cares in caring for those in need in the Darlington area. T.L.C.’s food bank is located at 201 Grove Street in Darlington. They are open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Donations of non-perishable food items (especially canned meats) are needed, as are toiletries, bathroom tissue, and paper towels.
