Gospel in the Park
The Gospel in the Park Series present its annual youth alive concert and a back to school rally, Sunday Aug 13, 5 to 8 p.m. in Pride Park, 630 S. 6th Street, Hartsville. The theme is Brining Unity into our Community. Pastor Dr. John L. Williams and the Flat Creek Baptist Church Family will render the devotional service. Emcee by Trey Nickelson from Glory98.5FM/540Am. Live Entertainment by Aunt Pearlie Sue “Creator of the GULLAH Kinsfolk, Another Perfect Blend and The Center for Learning Children’s Choir, Andrianna Samuel, Household Faith Church #3 Choir, Creekside Praise Worship Ministry and Gods Chozen Dance Team.

Choir Anniversary
The C.L. Bowens Choir of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 400 S Main St, Darlington, will celebrate their 36th Anniversary on Sunday, August 13 at 4 p.m., featuring the C.L. Bowens Choir in concert. The public is invited to attend.

C&M Retrievers Service
Mechanicsville Baptist Church welcomes the C&M Retrievers on Aug. 13. The service will start at 6 p.m. For more information, call 843-393-1029.

Homecoming and Revival Services
Sandy Grove United Methodist Church, 2870 Sandy Grove Church Rd. Lamar, will celebrate their 2017 homecoming and revival services Aug. 13-16. This year they are celebrating 151 years of praising and serving the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
*Sunday Worship Homecoming Service: August 13, 11 a.m.
*Mon. – Wed. Revival Service: August 14-16, 7 p.m. each night
Rev. Darren McClam-Shiloh UMC Darlington, SC, will be the speaker each night for Revival Service.

Annual Revival
Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 552 E. Billy Farrow Highway in Darlington, will carry on revival the week of August 14th-17th at 7 p.m. nightly. The speaker for the revival is the Reverend Antwaun Richardson of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

Block Party
New Hopewell Outreach Center, 1416 Bethlehem Rd. in Hartsville, will hold a Block Party Aug. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be pony rides, free food, games and performances by local artists. For more information, call 843-758-1240 or 843-383-2731.

Usher Anniversary
Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 1421 E. Lydia Hwy. in Hartsville, will have their usher anniversary Aug. 20 at 4 p.m. Guest speaker is Minister Patricia Bowman.

Singing

The Lord Cares
Please continue to assist The Lord Cares in caring for those in need in the Darlington area. T.L.C.’s food bank is located at 201 Grove Street in Darlington. They are open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Donations of non-perishable food items (especially canned meats) are needed, as are toiletries, bathroom tissue, and paper towels. Mail monetary donations to: The Lord Cares PO Box, 1457, Darlington, SC 29540.

Prayer Line
Anyone who needs prayer is invited to call the Covenant Baptist Church Prayer Line. Whether you need prayer for healing from sickness and disease, deliverance from drugs and alcohol or some other issue. The lines are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 843-393-8555.
