CareSouth Carolina PINKED OUT in October

CareSouth Carolina recently presented CareFirst Carolina with a check for $1,760 to assist those in need of a diagnostic breast exams and access to needed testing and follow-up. Over 300 CareSouth Carolina employees purchased pink t-shirts to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“The CareSouth Carolina pink t-shirt campaign started out with two employees discussing October being Breast Cancer Awareness and the people they know whom cancer had touched and those survivors, too,” said Ann Lewis, CEO of CareSouth Carolina. “We all at CareSouth Carolina are so glad to be able to make a difference in someone’s life. All of the monies raised will go to help ease as much as it can the financial burden of receiving care.”

CareSouth Carolina is a private, non-profit community health center delivering patient-centered health and life services in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina. CareSouth Carolina operates centers in Bennettsville, Bishopville, Cheraw, Chesterfield, Dillon, Hartsville, Lake View, Latta, McColl and Society Hill. Services provided by CareSouth Carolina include family practice, women services, pediatrics, dental, infectious diseases, geriatrics, social services, clinical counseling, pharmacy, laboratory and X-Ray.
