Bloodhound puppies sniff out names

From Staff Reports

The bloodhound puppies donated to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office finally have names.

Darlington County Sheriff Tony Chavis announced Friday that the puppies will be called Smokey and Bandit – the names that appeared to be leading the pack among residents casting Facebook votes.

The puppies will help “rescue children and find bad guys.”

Other names considered for the puppies were Cash, Sully, Scout, Major, Colt, Ruger, Thor and Xander.
