The Darlington Police and Fire Departments’ annual “Taste of Christmas” event brought hundreds of people to First Baptist Church on Thursday, Nov. 1, where they ate and drank and socialized for a good cause. Volunteer cooks prepared delicious dishes ranging from chicken bog and hot dogs to frog legs and sweet treats. For a $10 donation to the Toy Fund (which provides Christmas gifts to kids in need) diners could eat their fill and circulate while bopping along to the sounds of the season.
