LAMAR – Arthur B. Mooneyhan of Northport, Fla., died March 1, 2019, at Venice Regional Bayfront Health. He was a Navy veteran and former resident of Conway.
Art was born Aug. 2, 1932, the son of the late Advil Barney Cassel and Rosa M. Mooneyhan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice C. Mooneyhan; sister, Wilma Crane, and brothers, Earl, Jerry, A.Q. and Jacky.
Art is survived by his sister, Nell Nichols of Lamar; stepsons, Ron and Joe Holmes; step-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and special friend Mary Weldy.
A memorial service was held April 27 at First Baptist Church, 303 Main St., Lamar, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family received friends at the church. A private graveside service for family was held at St. Luke Cemetery following the service.

DARLINGTON – Jonna Michelle Huggins, 28, was called by Jesus to sit in His lap Tuesday, April 23, 2019.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 27, at Mechanicsville Baptist Church (old building) with burial at the church cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family received friends Friday at Mechanicsville Baptist Church (new building).
Jonna was born in Florence County July 22, 1990, the daughter of Mitch and Barbara Huggins. She was a member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church, where she loved to attend Sunday school and singing.
She enjoyed Darlington Falcons baseball, where many baseball players and parents became lifelong friends. She loved the beach and family vacations with her Nana, Papa, aunts, uncles and beloved cousins.
Jonna loved being outdoors, taking walks, riding her pink bicycle, swimming in the pool, visiting the goats and especially hunting with her Daddy. She loved telling everyone she met that Jesus lived in her heart and that he loved her.
Jonna was never shy to ask anyone if they knew Jesus and did He live in their heart? She was a great witness singing and sharing Jesus’ love with everyone.
In addition to her parents of Mechanicsville, she is survived by her brother, Bryant (Cortney Turner); maternal grandmother, Joann J. Bryant; paternal grandmother, Peggy M. Huggins; aunts and uncles, Jimmy (Rene) Bryant of Mechanicsville, Laurie (Lin) Keesey of Lexington, Joe Bryant, Karla (Kurt) Sullivan, all of Mechanicsville, and Janet Frederick of Beaufort; cousins, Laurin (Ian) Headley, Janici (P.J.) Cannon, Joshua (Elizabeth) Keesey, Carol Anne (Kyle) Taylor, Frannie (Drew) Clark, John Eric (Morgan) Sullivan, Charlie Bryant, Landon Bryant, Emilye Bryant, Lawson Bryant; and special caregivers, Latosha Redden and Alex Poole.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Roy Bryant; paternal grandfather, Alton Huggins; uncles, Paul Frederick and Eric Sullivan. DARLINGTON — Michael “Mike” Vernon Andrews, 69, died Friday, April 26, 2019, at MUSC-Florence.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Darlington at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1. The family will receive friends at Belk Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening, and other times at the home.
Born in Darlington Oct. 28, 1949, he was the son of the late Orin Andrews and Macie Sims Andrews Witherspoon. He served in the Navy from 1969-74. He then went to work at Nucor, retiring in 2012 after 38 years of employment.
Mike enjoyed playing softball and golf and was a fan of the Lady Falcons softball team, especially when his nieces Gracie and Madie were playing. He was a member of Darlington First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Patterson Andrews, and their son, Ryan Andrews, both of Darlington, and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Andrews. Also, he will be remembered as the “fun uncle” by nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Andrews, and his sister, Diane Andrews.
