1000 points for McElveen
Tyron McElveen, senior point guard for the Trinity-Byrnes Titans varsity basketball team and Darlington resident, finished out his high school basketball career by eclipsing the 1000-point mark. He reached this milestone on Thursday, February 26, in Sumter, SC, during the SCISA AA semi-final matchup against Spartanburg Day School. The Titans lost the game, but not before McElveen scored his 1001st career point near the end of the fourth quarter.
McElveen was also honored by being named to the SCISA Region II All-Tournament team. He is pictured here on March 5, 2015, with the All-Tournament plaque presented to him by the Titans’ head coach Larry Cullinane.
